Can my forwarder speed up my US customs exam?
It's important to understand that your freight forwarder cannot speed up the process of a US customs exam. The customs agency needs to complete additional checks, and there's nothing the forwarder can do to expedite the process.
Additionally, US customs does not provide updates on the status of the exam for security reasons.
The forwarder will only be notified once the exam is completed and any charges have been confirmed by customs.
