What is the FAX?

FAX stands for Freightos Air Index. It’s a comprehensive, transaction‑based view of air cargo market pricing, built from actual deals between forwarders and carriers and reinforced by real offered digital rates on WebCargo by Freightos - the largest air cargo booking platform (dozens of airlines, 3,500+ forwarders across 10,000 offices, thousands of bookings daily).

FAX is published daily across 120+ region‑to‑region lanes. It provides an indicative all‑in spot rate for general cargo in US$ per kilogram, calculated on a rolling 7‑day basis and shown across three weight breaks: 100–300 kg, 300–1,000 kg, and 1,000–3,000 kg.

In Terminal, you can view daily FAX values, track trends, and benchmark your lanes. Historical depth varies by plan.
