Close and Archive an RfQ
Steps to Close an RFQ
Prerequisites:
Before closing an RFQ, make sure that:
- The RFQ status is Finished (no active bidding and all required approvals have been completed).
- You have the necessary permissions. Required RfQ update rights include:
or
- Only the RfQ owner has the authority to close it.
How to Close the RFQ:
- Open the RfQ detail view.
- Verify that the status is Finished.
- Click Close.

Confirm Closing:
A confirmation pop-up will appear. If needed, you can select Keep my collection to reuse the collection for future RfQs.

Archiving:
Click Close RfQ(s) to complete the process. A Closed folder will be created automatically the first time an RfQ is closed, and the RfQ will be archived there. All subsequent closed RfQs will also be moved to this folder automatically.

Notes: If you close a spot without awarding it, notifications may be sent to the shipper and suppliers, depending on your configuration.
Troubleshooting if you can´t close:
Check the following:
- You have the required permissions, including Award capability and RfQ update rights.
- Lane permissions do not restrict closing for your role or group.
- The RfQ is truly in Finished status, with no active bidding and all required approvals completed.
Changes are not taking effect:
- Log out and log back in, or
- Wait for the role/permission cache to refresh.
Validation:
Confirm that the RfQ has been moved to the Closed folder.
Known Issues:
If the Close action appears to be stuck, check for active system incidents or contact your administrator.
