As a transport procurement manager, you may want to define mandatory completion requirements for each collection within an RFQ. This ensures that suppliers provide all required information, reduces the need for manual follow-up, and supports a more efficient procurement process.
To display the Mandatory column, the Vertical Cherry Picking option must be enabled in the RFQ.
In the RFQ > Rates tab, a new Mandatory column is available with a slider. By default, this slider is disabled for all collections. To mark a collection as mandatory, the slider must be enabled.
If Vertical Cherry Picking is disabled in an RFQ, all collections are automatically set to mandatory, and the column is not editable.
When an RFQ is cloned or a Next Round is created, the value of the Mandatory column is carried over.
A mandatory collection is marked with a small exclamation icon and a tooltip to make it clear to suppliers.
When the Mandatory option is enabled for a collection, the supplier must provide a valid quote for all lanes in that collection. If this is not done, the Submit button will remain disabled.
If an RFQ contains more than one collection and only one of them is marked as mandatory, the supplier must provide a complete and valid quote only for the mandatory collection. The other non-mandatory collections may be quoted partially, fully, or not at all, according to the existing behaviour.
For mandatory collections with rate options, at least one rate per lane must be valid. It is not necessary for all optional rates to be valid.
