How to use the bookmarks feature

With the bookmark feature on WebCargo, you can keep a repository of all the dynamic rates that could work for your shipment if you're not ready to book. Once bookmarked, you can view price changes to plan the perfect time to book and view soon-to-expire rates and expired rates.

Find out how you can use this feature to maximize your eBookings in this article.

How to bookmark dynamic rates

Firstly, click on the side menu, then the plus symbol, then New eBooking.

Enter your cargo details to search for rates. To find out more about how to make an eBooking, take a look at this article.

Once your search results have loaded, click on a rate card with a rate that works for you. This will open up the selection box where you can view the rate information. Next to the price of each rate you will see a bookmark symbol.

Clicking on this symbol will bookmark the rate, and the bookmark button will fill in and change colour to blue. This rate will be added to your saved bookmarksunder the Bookmarks section. If you click on the bookmark symbol again, this will remove it from your bookmarked rates.

Returning to the list of search results, your bookmarked rate will have an icon within the chosen rate card.

You can also bookmark a rate on the review and book page before completing your eBooking. Look for the Bookmark for later button shown next to the Book this shipment button.

Clicking on this button will change the bookmark icon to blue and add the rate toyour list of bookmarked rates. If this button is clicked, this rate will also be added to your bookmarks under the Bookmarks section.

How to access the Bookmarks section (free pack types)

If you have a free pack type, you can see the Bookmarks section as one of the options when expanding the side menu.

How to access the Bookmarks section (paid pack types)

To access the Bookmark section for paid pack types, expand the side menu, click on Tools and then click on the sub-tab Bookmarks.

How to view all of your bookmarked rates

As mentioned above, you can view your bookmarked rates in one place under Tools and then clicking on Bookmarks.

You will see that bookmarks can be organized in different ways. By default, all bookmarks made by you or by other users within your organization will be visible under the Show section when All is selected.

You can filter by your bookmarks by clicking on the Mine only filter. This will show you all the bookmarks only you have saved. Clicking on the Other users tab will show you all the rates that have been bookmarked by other users within your organization.

Hovering above the “i” icon will show you which user has bookmarked the rate and on which date they saved it.

You can un-bookmark, or delete, any rates that are visible within any of these tabs. Hover over the bookmark icon on the rate card and then click to delete it.

Important: Clicking on this button will remove the bookmarked rate from your account and from the user's account who had previously saved it.
