How to use the static rate quoting interface

The static rate quoting tool makes searching for static rates to compare and quote to your customers easier than ever. Access to more than 70% of airlines worldwide opens up many opportunities to win quotes from your customers if you have a paid WebCargo Rate & Quote Air pack type.

Continue reading to discover how to use the new static rate quoting tool interface.

Access the static rate quoting tool

After logging in to your account, you’ll automatically be taken to the static rate quoting tool page. However, if you are elsewhere on the website, you can access the tool by clicking on the + symbol, and click on New Rate & Quote.

Enter the origin airport (From) and your destination airport (To) in the boxes. Then, if applicable, choose how much profit to be shown with the final rate price in the search results.

Choose the date of departure, then whether you want the total per unit, total weight, or by choosing a specific weight break. If Add units is selected, click the Add units button to add more.

You also have the option to add More details about your shipment.

This will open up a separate section where you can add the total number of units, the volume, gross weight, cargo value and more.

Finally, you can add Extra information by clicking the arrow under the Extra information button.

This will add fields to add filters and options to narrow your search, such as Airline, which will only show results for that carrier, SurchargesBranchesCurrency, and filtering by rate type.

Once you have entered your shipment details, click on Search all rates to make a static rate search. You will then be able to view all the available static rates for the route entered.

Each rate will have a coloured chip next to it, which signifies what type of rate it is. For example, if a red chip is shown next to the rate, it is a Promo rate, orange chips are All in rates. Normal, or general, rates have no chip next to them and will be without colour.

Select the rates you want included in your static rate quotation by clicking on the box on the right-hand side of each.

Once you have selected the rates you want to include in your quotation, click on the Save quotation icon at the top of the list of rates.

You will also see an option to create a Spot rate, email the quote to your customer, download an Excel of the quote, download it as a PDF file, or request ad hoc rates from an airline.

You can now continue to create your quotation by adding more information, selecting the specific rates and more. To find out what to do next, click this link to read the article.
