Static rate icons and what they mean

Static rate icons and what they mean

After making a static rates search, you will see that there are a number of icons that can be found at the top right-hand side of each airline’s static quotes or to the right of each one. Hovering above, or clicking on any of these icons will give you different pieces of information about the particular GSA or carrier, or will perform different functions.

It’s important to note that not all airlines offer the same services and information, so you may not always see all of the following.

Find out what the icons mean in this article so you can understand what information you have available.

Rates synchronised from airline HQ

When you see this symbol it means that the static rates you can see are being synched directly from the airline’s HQ. This means that instead of rates received by local offices or customers and being uploaded manually by our team, the rates are updated through an automated process right from the airline’s database.

Schedules

When you see either one of these plane symbols, it means that you can find information about scheduling for this particular airline. Hovering above the simple aeroplane symbol will show you schedules for freighters and passenger aircraft together, as well as information about the plane dimensions.

The aeroplane symbol with an F will do the same, but will only show you freighter-only options.

You can click on either of the icons and it will take you to the Schedules page, which you can read more about here.

Contacts

Hovering above this symbol will give you all of the contact information for this particular GSA or carrier. If you click on the symbol, you’ll be taken to the Suppliers page where you can see all of the company details, company contact information and represented airlines for said airline or GSA.

You can reach out to them by email directly by clicking on the letter symbol, or click on the star symbol to favourite specific contacts.

Handling

Hovering above the crate symbol means you can see all of the handling information. You’ll find out the Airport, Agent, Agent name, phone number and more. Clicking on this icon will bring up all handling agent details as well as any handling charges, with the PDFs available to download.

Terms and conditions

Click on the A4 piece of paper symbol with the corner folded to view all of the carrier terms and conditions which have been uploaded as text to the system.

Terms and conditions (PDF)

Some airlines have added a direct link to a downloadable PDF file. Click on this symbol to view and download.

Add spot rate

If you have received a SPOT rate from an airline, you can add the information directly by clicking on the plus symbol. You can find out how to add a spot rate in more detail by clicking here.

You’ll also see some icons located in the row of the visible quote.

The Book button

When you see the BOOK button next to a static rate, it means that this rate can be instantly booked using WebCargo’s matrix. Inside the matrix you can see live rates and capacity from many different airlines and instantly book. Clicking on this Book button will copy over all of the information you entered in the static rate search to the matrix search page. You’ll then easily be able to click Search flights and rates in order to see relevant options for your shipment.

More information

Hovering above the ‘i’ symbol will give you a detailed breakdown of airline and GSA information including the service and validity, surcharges included in the quote, any fees, and all other data. If notes have been added to the quote, you’ll be able to see these at the bottom.

You can also add notes by clicking on the plus symbol at the bottom. You will have the option to share it with all your colleagues, or only have it on your account.

Clone rate for spot

If you want to clone a specific line from the rate results, you can click on the paper symbol. This will trigger a pop up which will allow you to clone the rate and add your own profits, weight breaks, validity dates and surcharges. Clicking on Clone will add another line to the search results which you can then use to quote.

Finally, once the spot quote has been added you can choose to edit it by clicking on the pencil and paper symbol, or by removing it by clicking on the rubbish bin symbol.
