How to view and book with Contract Rates

How to view and book with Contract Rates

This article will guide you through managing and booking contract rates within your WebCargo by Freightos account. This includes displaying contract rates within the matrix search results through a direct connection with the airlines' database, filtering contract rate results, and instantly booking with the shown contract rates.

Firstly, follow the normal procedure to search for live rates and capacity by clicking on the New eBooking button and entering your cargo details.

Once your results are displayed, you will be able to easily identify whether the airlines offer contract rates by the “C” on the top right-hand corner of the rate card.

In some cases, you may find the “C” surrounded by a dotted line, which means this is a possible contract rate.

Important: Possible contract rates are only available for paid pack-type users.

For carriers that do not support contract rates for instant eBooking, our system will compare the rates received directly from the airline’s database with static rates on WebCargo. If the rate received within the live search results is the same price as an existing static rate, we classify it as a possible contract rate.

To the left of each airline logo, by hovering over the symbols if available, you will also find in-depth information, detailing the specific types of rates for the date of your search and the following days.

If you would like to see only contract rates in your results, you can filter them by expanding the Filters panel on the right-hand side and selecting Contract rates.

You will also be able to organize your results according to other criteria: CheapestBest ValueQuickest and Greenest. Find out more about how you can filter and view your search results in this article.

The cheapest option for each day will also be displayed under the date, together with the carrier’s logo.

Finally, select the rate that suits you and proceed to book as normal. For more information on how to make an eBooking, check this article.
