Group Charges on the Actual Quote 2026

Group Charges on the Actual Quote 2026

Under certain circumstances, an agent or forwarder may need to group and label separate selected costs under a classification based on any number of different criteria. This enables the user to simplify or classify the final presentation of costs for the client on the final quote document.

When building a quote for a customer, follow through with all the usual steps. After selecting rates, applying profits, and clicking on the SAVE button to start the quote wizard, two further steps will need to be taken in order to get multiple charges grouped together under a single line item.

1. On the General tab of the quote wizard, ensure that “Group Costs” is selected in the middle column.

2. On the Local Charges tab of the quote wizard, go to the “Group by” column on each individual line item, and select the Group previously created. The end result on the quote will be that all charges associated to a group will be grouped together in one line item for the customer.

*Note that this function enables the user to keep selected local charges grouped together and simultaneously maintain others separate.
