Which charges does my quote include?

Freightos.com quotes include all charges stemming from freight services, including handling fees, loading charges, documentation processing, and costs related to the movement of your goods.

You can also add other charges if relevant, such as customs bond or broker and insurance.

There are some costs that can’t be included in the initial quote. They are:

Customs Duties

Customs duties are paid to the government via your forwarder or customs broker, and are based on the value of the goods. The charge is determined once the goods arrive at their destination.

Use our customs calculator to get an estimate of your customs costs.

Unanticipated Charges

Some costs can’t be anticipated. For example, some shipments get randomly chosen for customs inspections at the port, incurring a charge from the Customs Border and Protection Agency. There’s also the possibility that a major storm, a port strike, or even a ship getting stuck in the Suez Canal could delay shipments, resulting in extra fees.

Booking Mistakes

If some information you provided for your Quote is missing or inaccurate, if your factory keeps the truck waiting too long, or if you’re missing certain documents, extra charges may be applied.

If you have questions about your information or documentation, you can always chat with our Customer Success team to make sure you have everything you need and to avoid such charges.
