How do I use last-mile delivery?
Last-mile delivery is a great option if you're shipping to multiple destinations or if you don’t know the final destination of the shipment.
If you choose last-mile delivery, your goods (usually a small amount of loose cargo) are delivered to your freight forwarder’s warehouse as a first shipping destination. You’re then responsible for aligning the last-mile delivery provider with the forwarder and for scheduling pickup once the goods arrive.
When you’re booking a Quote, choose the destination closest to your final delivery destination.
You should also tell your forwarder you’re booking last-mile delivery to make sure they have the correct labeling and all other requirements in place.
