How to add suppliers for local charges

Keeping a list of companies that regularly supply the goods your clients need shipped is essential. Suppliers play a critical role in ensuring the shipping process is completed smoothly.

Using WebCargo’s supplier creation tool, you can create a directory of your suppliers to apply specific local charge conditions when creating your quotation.

Find out in this article how you can create suppliers for your account. This is only available for Professional and Enterprise customers.

1. Create your supplier

To add your supplier to the system, expand the side menu and select Rate management.

Then click on Air local charges to expand the dropdown and select Suppliers.

Here you will see the list of all suppliers already entered into the system. Click on Add supplier to enter your supplier’s details.

You’ll be prompted with a box to enter the Code and Company of your supplier.

Code: this is important if you’re an Enterprise customer, as this code will be the same as what you use internally for the supplier on your system. If you don’t have a code, create one of your choice.

Company: the name of your supplier.

Important:there may be times when an agent/forwarder/user may be the supplier. For example, if an agent has an internal cost for providing a Document service, the agent/forwarder/user may be designated as the supplier providing the service.

2. Save your supplier

Click Save once you’ve entered the code and the company name. The respective company information will now appear within the list of existing suppliers.

3. How to edit or delete an existing supplier

You can edit or delete suppliers at any time within the same menu. To edit your supplier, click on the pencil and paper symbol. To delete the supplier completely, click on the rubbish can symbol.
