How to create a service for local charges

In order to create a local charge, you first need to create a name for the specific service that the charge is for. This service will then be available to select when you’re creating the local charge to be used on the quotation. Find out how to create a service within this article.

After logging into your account, expand the side menu and select Rate Management.

Then expand the Air local charges drop down menu and select Services.

From this screen, you will find the list of services you’ve created (if any). To add a new service, click on Add new service.

You’ll be prompted with a pop-up where you can start to enter the details for your Service. Enter the code for the local charge*, then the direct translations for any languages you want to have it in. Then click Save.

*The code entered here is more related to Enterprise account holders and should be used to synchronize to your internal organisational system. Therefore, this code for the service, if relevant to you, should be the same as the name on your system.

The service will now be added to the list, which means you’re now ready to start creating the local charge itself.

You’ll notice that there are other columns in the Services section. These include Multi-zone and Local Charges. These cannot be edited here, but are added during the local charge creation process.

Multi-zones: The multi-zone status will state Yes if a variable price has been selected when creating your local charges, or No if it is a manual or fixed price on the local charge.

Tip: The local charge counter will increase every time the service is linked to a local charge.
