How to ensure you receive emails from WebCargo

How to ensure you receive emails from WebCargo

Many email providers such as Outlook or Gmail filter out messages that they deem as dangerous phishing scams or spam. However, sometimes these filters incorrectly place important messages in this folder. This means you may miss out on potentially important updates or messages.

There are a number of steps you can take to ensure you receive emails from us. When following these steps and whitelisting email addresses or domains, emails will be more likely to get through to you. Here is an explanation of how to whitelist for Gmail or Outlook.com.

Gmail

1. Add the email address to your contacts

One of the reasons our emails aren’t getting to your inbox is because the WebCargo domain is not recognized. If Gmail has marked emails you wish to receive as spam, you'll need to tell Gmail these emails are not spam.
1. Go to Gmail and navigate to the spam folder, located on the left-hand side of the screen.
2. Used the Advanced search feature to search for emails containing the domain you wish to whitelist (e.g. webcargo.net, freightos.com).
3. Select all the emails that should not be in the spam folder by clicking on the box next to it. Then right-click and select Not spam from the list of options.

This will then move the email to your main inbox and a message will show confirming this.

2. Create a filter for the email address.

You can choose to tell Gmail to whitelist specific emails from a domain or online group by creating a filter. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Click the cog icon in the top-right corner, and then See all settings

2. Click on Filters and blocked addresses and then Create a new filter.

3. Enter the domain of the email or email address you want to whitelist in the From field (e.g. freightos.com, webcargonet.com). To enter multiple domains or email addresses, enter OR between each entry (e.g freightos.com OR webcargonet.com).

4. Click Create filter with this search

5. Another section will appear with the heading When a message arrives that matches this search criteria. Select Never send it to Spam.

6. Click the Create filter button

Important: Do not enter email addresses in both the From and To fields when creating a filter. Gmail will only filter in emails that meet both criteria, which may mean emails will still go to Junk.

Outlook

1. Add the address to your contacts

Add the email address that is emailing you (e.g. rates.gb@webcargonet.com) to your Outlook.com Contacts. Outlook.com will usually deliver emails from addresses that are in your Contacts.
Click on the icon showing 2 people. Then click on New contact.

Then enter their name, and then click on Add more. Add the email address of the person you want to receive emails from. Then click Save.

2. Add the domain to your safe senders

1. Click the cog icon in the top-right corner and View all Outlook settings

2. Select the heading Junk email and then scroll down to Safe senders and domains. Then click Add. Enter the email address or the domain name (end of the email e.g. webcargonet.com, freightos.com.)

3. Click Save. The domain will now be added to your trusted domains. Meaning you should now receive emails from us.

If you are still having issues with receiving emails from us, it may be that your company has put a restriction on emails from us. We’d recommend reaching out to your IT support team to ask about potential firewalls blocking emails coming through.
