How to use WebCargo's two-step verification

How to use WebCargo's two-step verification

Find out in this article about our new account security feature and how this affects you.

What is changing?

As of February 2026, WebCargo is adding an extra security layer to protect your account. When you sign in with your email and password, you'll now receive a 6-digit verification code by email that you'll need to complete your login.

Why we're making this change

Two-step verification significantly improves account security by ensuring that even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your account without also having access to your email. This helps protect your sensitive freight data and prevents unauthorized access to your account.

Who is affected?

This change applies to all users who sign in with an email and password. If you sign in through your company's Single Sign-On (SSO) system, you will continue to sign in as usual with no changes.

How it works

1. Enter your credentials as usual
Sign in with your email and password like you always do.

2. Check your email

After entering your password, you'll be prompted to check your email for a verification code. We'll send a 6-digit code to the email address associated with your account.

3. Enter the verification code

Enter the 6-digit code on the verification screen to complete your sign-in.

4. Access your account

Once verified, you'll be signed in to your WebCargo account as usual.

Key things to know

  • Verification codes expire after 5 minutes. If your code expires, you can easily request a new one.

  • Remember this device option. Check the "Remember this device" box during verification to avoid repeating this step on the same device for 30 days.

  • Email access is required. Make sure you can access the email address associated with your WebCargo account.

  • Codes are unique for each login attempt. Never share your verification codes with anyone, including WebCargo staff.

Troubleshooting tips

  • Didn't receive a code? Check your spam or junk folder. You can request a new code after 30 seconds.

  • Code not working? Make sure you're entering the most recent code sent, as previous codes become invalid.

This security update is part of our ongoing commitment to protecting your data and ensuring a secure platform for all your freight management needs.
