How to view rate prices in your local currency
When making a search for live rates and capacity on WebCargo, you can use the currency converter tool to see an estimation of how much the shipment would be in your local currency before finalizing the eBooking. Find out how to use it in this article.
Firstly, follow the normal procedure to search for live rates and capacity by clicking on the New eBooking button and entering your cargo details.
Click on Search flights and rates to load all available airlines for the flight details entered.
Once your results have loaded, you’ll see that the rate is, by default, in the currency of the country you are logged in as.
You can change the currency within the rate card by clicking on the dropdown menu that has the currency inside. Either select the currency from the dropdown menu or enter the name of the currency and select it from the list.
The price on the rate card will automatically change to the chosen currency. You’ll see the total price and the price per kilogram for the selected currency.
The rate shown will only be an estimation, as the conversion rate is taken from Open Exchange and updates frequently. Select the rate card, then click on Select within the pop-up.
After clicking on a rate and proceeding to complete the eBooking, you’ll be taken to the review and book page. Here is where you can see all the flight and shipment information, including the final price.
The Total amount will be in the original currency that the rates were shown in. Remember, this will usually be in the currency of the country you have logged in as. You’ll also see the Total (in selected currency) which is the price for the currency selected earlier.
Hover over the blue question mark and you’ll see the conversion rate compared to the original currency. When checking out, you’ll be charged in the currency shown under Total amount.
