What is a Beneficial Cargo Owner?
A beneficial cargo owner (BCO) is an importer who takes charge of a shipment at the destination, using their own logistics resources instead of relying on a third-party service provider like a freight forwarder.
They are responsible for the logistics of the cargo from the point of origin to the point of consumption.
By taking control of the logistics, BCOs can have more visibility and control over the delivery of their goods and costs.
