Do I pay customs if I'm shipping Express?
When it comes to shipping via Express service, there's a simplified customs process in place.
A customs broker will handle the clearance of your cargo, but the cost is already included in your rate and won't appear as a separate line item on your quote.
However, you are responsible for any applicable duties and taxes, and will need to pay them directly to the carrier.
Since a customs bond is not required for Express shipments valued under $2500, our search excludes the bond for Express Quotes (even if you include the bond in your search).
If you discover you need a bond after booking your Express shipment, your forwarder will add it as an additional charge to your Shipment Page.
