How to configure an IATA and enable eBookings
In order to be able to make eBookings and search using live rates and capacity from airlines on the WebCargo platform, you need to have an IATA code configured.
Find out how you can configure and manage your IATA codes on your WebCargo account and enable eBookings.
Important: Configuration can only be done by admins and super admins.
1. Navigate to the IATA codes tab
To get to the page where you can manage your IATA codes and enable eBookings, expand the side menu and scroll down, then click on User management.
Then click on the Local users dropdown and select the IATA codes option.
2. Assigning IATA by branch
If you have branches enabled on your account, you will be able to assign an IATA code to each branch. Simply click on the dropdown next to each branch and select the corresponding IATA code. Remember to click Save once you’ve made any changes.
3. Searching for individual users
If you are searching for an individual user, scroll down to the bottom of the page until you find this search bar below the Branches section.
You can search for a user by entering their email address, name, or choose from the dropdowns if they are associated with a branch or a group.
Once the results have loaded, and you’ve found the user, you can then choose to assign an IATA code (or codes) from the dropdown list and to enable eBooking.
Once you have selected the default IATA code for the user and have enabled, click on the Save button. The IATA code will now be assigned to this user and eBookings will be enabled, meaning they can now click on New eBooking and make a search. Bear in mind, you can also disable eBookings per user in the same way shown above.
Tip: if you want to enable eBookings for all users, click the box at the top of the eBooking column. It will automatically select each box.
Once your IATA has been enabled and activated, you will see it assigned to the account when entering your cargo information in the New eBooking section and scrolling to Additional Information at the bottom of this page.
