How to create sales profiles for local charges

There are going to be times when surcharges have been agreed with clients that are different from the normal set of rules usually used. It may be the case that you also have different tariffs depending on different groups of customers.

For example, with one customer, you may have special agreed handling, pick up and customs fees. Or perhaps when quoting within your own network to agents, you use one set of surcharges, while when quoting to a shipper, you use a different set of fees.

To manage these easily in WebCargo, the best option is to create Sales Profiles so that these charges can be easily applied when you are quoting without having to enter them every time.

Create a Sales Profile

Firstly, expand the side menu and select Rate management.

Then expand the Air local charges dropdown and select Sales profiles.

From here, you can see current profiles you have created, add new profiles, or edit and delete existing profiles.

To add a new profile, click on Add sales profile.

You can then add the Profile name and, if the profile is associated with any preexisting ones, you can select it from the dropdown.

Also, if you want to share this profile within your account, click on Shared with me. Once you’ve entered this information, click on Save.

Your newly added sales profile will now appear within the list. When adding clients and specific profits for weight breaks, you can now use this profile.

Additionally, when you’re creating a quotation, under the Local charges tab, this sales profile will now be available for you to select.

Edit or delete a profile

To make any changes to your profile, select the pencil icon. This will open the same pop-up for you to edit the profile name, associated profile or change the Shared with me option.

To delete a profile, click on the rubbish can icon.
