WebCargo Pay: Global Access to Airline Capacity with Flexible Credit Terms

WebCargo Pay: Global Access to Airline Capacity with Flexible Credit Terms

WebCargo Pay is a digital payment and booking solution that allows freight forwarders to book air cargo capacity directly with participating airlines—without needing individual airline licenses, bilateral agreements, or local airline credit accounts.

Instead of opening multiple airline accounts in every country, forwarders can access global airline inventory through a single WebCargo wallet. Payments can be made using prepaid funds, credit cards, or WebCargo credit lines, depending on what is enabled in each country and with each airline.

This model dramatically simplifies international expansion for forwarders, removes barriers to market entry, and allows teams to quote and book faster with full financial control.

Understanding Credit Terms

WebCargo Pay supports two main payment models:

  • Prepaid only – Forwarders must fund their WebCargo wallet before booking.

  • Prepaid & Credit Line – Forwarders can either prepay or book using an approved WebCargo credit facility, allowing them to pay after the shipment is booked.

Availability of these models depends on the country and the airline.

In these markets, bookings must be paid using prepaid WebCargo funds.

Why This Matters for Forwarders

WebCargo Pay removes one of the biggest bottlenecks in airfreight: local airline financial onboarding.

Instead of:

  • opening multiple airline accounts

  • negotiating credit in each country

  • handling different currencies and payment rules

Forwarders get:

  • one global payment layer

  • consistent airline access

  • the ability to scale internationally with minimal friction

With prepaid wallets, forwarders can control spend and remove credit risk.

With credit lines, they can improve cash flow and operate at higher volumes.

The Big Picture

WebCargo Pay is turning air cargo booking into a borderless financial network.

Whether a forwarder is shipping from Germany, Kenya, India, the UK, or Japan, they can access airline capacity instantly through a single platform, with either prepaid funds or credit, depending on what is available locally.

This combination of digital booking + embedded finance is what allows WebCargo to power global airfreight at scale.
