How do I submit an event to the Event Feed?

Sharing credible events helps the entire freight community - and it can boost your brand’s visibility with Terminal users. It’s especially useful for forwarders, carriers, and logistics data providers with timely, lane‑specific insights.

Submit an event in Terminal:

- Open Key Events: Click the bell icon in the right sidebar to open the feed, then select the + button.

Enter core details:

- Dates: start (and end, if known).

- Event type: pick the best‑fit category.

- Importance and mode(s): choose the level and select all relevant modes (ocean and/or air).

- Location: select region, country, or a specific port/airport. At minimum, include a region/country.

- Trade lanes: pick a specific lane or choose All if it’s broad in scope.

- Add context:

- Title: keep it concise (aim for ~80 characters).

- Description: summarize what happened, where, when, and expected impact. Include concrete data if available.

- URL and Source: add a link and select the source. If it’s not listed, choose “Other” and enter the source name.

- Submit: Click Add Event. Our team reviews for clarity, credibility, and usefulness before publishing.

Tips for a strong submission:

- Be specific: name affected ports/airports and lanes.

- Add evidence: link to carrier advisories, port notices, or reputable news.

- Quantify impact when possible: e.g., “5 blank sailings,” “+$300/FEU PSS,” “avg. dwell +2.1 days.”

- Keep it neutral and practical; avoid marketing language or confidential details.

Examples of clear titles:

- “Typhoon closes Shanghai terminals; vessel departures delayed 24–48h”

- “GRI: Transpacific +$500/FEU effective May 1”
