How to view surcharges from each airline

How to view surcharges from each airline

From fees for handling dangerous goods (DGR) to those for signing documentation on reception (DOC) it’s important to understand these to avoid any nasty surprises. With WebCargo, we manually upload all of these surcharges, which you’re able to view using our smart tool.

Let’s see how you can access these.

First head to the Air tab, then click on the Surcharges sub-tab.

Once here, you’ll first be shown Upcoming Changes. These will either be in green for a decrease in price or red if there has been an increase in price.

Each column means something different. The surcharge tab is the 3-letter surcharge code. In this case, we can see that the fee surcharge shown is for DGR. The fact that it is highlighted in green shows there is an upcoming decrease in price for this particular surcharge.

We can also see the airline, the price per kilogram, the minimum and maximum fee, the date uploaded and any other notes that the airline sent.

When it comes to the Min/Max column, this shows the minimum, or base price, that the surcharge will be regardless of the price per kilogram shown. The maximum price shows the highest price that the surcharge will be, regardless of the price per kilogram.

As you can see, there is another column called Zone. It may be that this particular surcharge is applicable for all zones, or just one specific zone, for example in the image shown above we can see from BHX (Birmingham Airport) that these surcharges apply, however this to LHR.

You can also download all the surcharges shown in an Excel spreadsheet or as a PDF by clicking on the Excel icon or the PDF icon.

If you click on the download Excel icon, you will have the option to choose the following 4 options:

If you select the download PDF option, you can include the following in your download.

If you have any questions about surcharges, please do not hesitate to reach out by clicking on the blue speech bubble at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
